Case Management

Yes, We Can Help

Neighbors' Consejo implements an excellent language assistance program. We are prepared to meet the many obstacles that Latino(a) homeless individuals encounter; two important ones are language and cultural barriers.

Our Beliefs:
Holistic Approach: We believe in a holistic approach to eliminating poverty. With an emphasis on social services, raising and self-advocacy, we help men and women overcome language employment barriers, addiction, and disease. We seek to understand and affect the root causes of homelessness and poverty, including racism, economic inequality, and health disparity.

Our Services:
Upon arriving to Neighbors' Consejo for the first time, our clients meet with one of our bilingual experts in case management. The caseworker performs a holistic analysis of the presenting issues and develops an individualized service plan.

The case management team addresses physical and mental healthcare needs, housing and shelter needs, immigration and legal issues, domestic violence, substance abuse, basic needs such as food and clothing, and public benefit eligibility and emergency financial aid.

Our caseworkers regularly see homeless men and women who have suffered years of addiction without proper treatment, women who are victimized by domestic violence, and families who have no access to adequate healthcare despite their needs. Also, we serve recent immigrants who have few skills and little knowledge of how to access resources in the United States.
