Neighbors' Consejo is a bilingual non-profit community-based organization committed to promoting Hope, Dignity, and Social Justice. We work to strengthen the social and economic well-being of individuals, families, and communities in the greater Washington, DC area. While primarily focused on those from the Latino community, our services are available to anyone in need or in crisis.
Established in 1994, we are one of the only full-time, bilingual social service organizations that has the capacity to provide comprehensive outreach, social and mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and employment counseling and services to Spanish-speaking homeless men and women who suffer from addiction, alcoholism and mental health problems.
We still need help!
Our community has suffered a great loss, and many of our neighbors have lost everything they owned! We, at Neighbors’ Consejo and community members are coming together to make the difference. Thanks for providing clothes, food and money. We are very grateful for your help and kind response to those in need. We are also thankful for the volunteers who have given up their time to help others in need.
However, we still need help! We need more individual and community donations, corporate sponsorships and funding to help our neighbors since this is a long-term commitment. Please provide clean, sorted, labeled male/female/children clothing. We need school supplies, toiletries, canned goods, food and clothing store gift cards, and money as well. We also need volunteers and interns to come over and help us.

¡Necesitamos su ayuda!
Nuestra comunidad ha sufrido una gran perdida, y muchos miembros de la comunidad han perdido todas sus pertenencias. En Neighbors’ Consejo estamos trabajando junto a las personas que se han acercado a donar ropa, comida y dinero. Estamos muy agradecidos por su ayuda y su respuesta generosa para aquellos que estan necesitados. Tambien estamos agradecidos con los volutnarios que han dado de su tiempo para ayudar a los damnificados .
Aun con toda la ayuda ya brindada, ¡necesitamos mas ayuda! Necesitamos ropa de caballeros/damas y niños que este limpia y que haya sido clasificada. Necesitamos útiles escolares, comida enlatada, y tarjetas con dinero como del Giant, Target, etc. Tambien estamos aceptando dinero. Ademas seguimos necesitando voluntarios que vengan a Neighbors’ este fin de semana a clasificar las donaciones que nos han llegado.
