Neighhors' Consejo receives contributions through our fundraising events. We are a qualified organization recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts made are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law.





The historical area of Mt. Pleasant suffered a great loss: the Deauville Building and the Meridian Hill Baptist Church both were damaged by the March 12, 2008, fire. The Deauville Building fire cause for displacement of many individual and families who lost everything they owned.
Neighbors’ Consejo, our community partners, and the community at large came together to make the diference and help those in need. The following are the ways we all came thru:
- Individual and community donations
- Corporate sponsorships and monetary funds; and,
- Volunteer and interns who can help us sort through the many donations the community has alredy made.
The staff at Neighbors' Consejo would like to thanks all of those who have donated clothes, food, money, gift cards, and toiletries for the victims of the fire. We are very grateful for your help and kind response to those who are most in need.
To all of those who have volunteed: Thank you, we could not have gone through this last week without your help and good will.
To all of us: let us remember that our community will need our support for many months ahead let us all keep helping those who are most in need.
